The puppies had a big weekend for week 6!  Saturday was a road trip up to Redwood City to visit their daddy and grandma!  Then Sunday, Pink girl got to meet her new family-to-be!  Monday was my nephew’s birthday (turning age 8), so my brother, his college-age daughter, her boyfriend, and my nephew all came over for a short visit for about an hour!  The puppies have been great meeting new people!  I’m so pleased with all of their temperaments!  And they are learning not to mouth quite so much!

They’ve been having fun running up and down the contact trainer and playing in the pool this week!  They got to listen to Cinco de Mayo music from my neighbors on Tuesday.  Mona and Blue were playing ring-around-the-rosie around the wading pool, and then Mona finally jumped in!

Everybody got brushed and hair trimmed on their feet last night.  Tonight (Thurs) we practiced walking in a harness (using a leather tracking harness that I had had custom-made for my Lhasa Apso many many years ago – it’s just the right size), using my side yard that is ex-penned off from the backyard.  I started them at the back and let them walk/run to the expen to see their sisters/brothers.  I did about 3 runs for each puppy.

They were in the house in the afternoon, since it was pretty warm today.  Just before bringing them in this evening around 8:15pm, I went into the house to set up the pen.  When I came out, all 6 puppies were in the pool (at least front feet in)!  Leah and Pink especially like the pool!

Leo and Blue then got a little Sherpa bag training.  They were both happy to go in and lie down in the bag!

The puppies got new collars for this trip – so Leo is now sporting an orange collar and Mona has a lilac-colored collar!
