Snowflower’s Spring Breeze UDX TDX MX AXJ PT, V-MAD JM, EAC EGC EJC

CH Wardance De Loup Noir x Ch Sharvonne Tanzy Snowflower UD
(5/14/89-5/7/04)

Breeze was my “dog of firsts” – my first Terv, my first UD-titled dog (and UDX), my first TD and TDX, my first agility dog, my first herding-titled dog, and always first in my heart!  She was named in part because I knew she would be easier to train than my first dog, an ILP’d Lhasa Apso.  She more than lived up to her name!  She had her UD by the time she was 3, and earned 8 UDX legs in the next 7 months before it became an official title (they weren’t grandfathered in).  While we had started tracking as a puppy, we got sidetracked by herding, agility, and obedience, and didn’t get back to tracking until later.  She got her TD at age 8 and her TDX just one month before her 11th birthday!

Some of Breeze’s notable accomplishments include:

    • Was the #5 ranked Terv in obedience on the Front & Finish® First & Foremost® system for 1992.
    • Was the first American-owned Terv (and the first Terv bitch) to earn the USDAA’s Advanced Agility Dog® title in 1994!
    • Competed at the very first AKC agility trial in Houston in 1994, placing 2nd in Open!
    • 1996 USDAA Grand Prix® Finalist – placing 4th in the 30″ height category at age 7!
    • Served as the model for the agility Terv/tunnel artwork on the ABTC Versatile Tervuren specialty clothing!
    • Awarded the ABTC Versatile Tervuren award in 1997 by virtue of having earned titles in all 4 performance events – agility, obedience, tracking, and herding!
    • Earned the USDAA Veteran Master Agility Dog® title at the age of 9 (before the Performance program was implemented, so is still the only Terv to have earned this title!)
    • Was the 3rd Terv (and 14th dog of all breeds) to earn the “triple-x” titles of UDX-TDX-MX in obedience, tracking, and agility!
